I need a homeopathic remedy for my dog’s anxiety?

My 12 year old Rat Terrier has been taking Selegiline 5 mg for the past five years. He was prescribed this medicine by a vet when I expressed my concern over severe anxiety in my dog. I now would like to switch to something more homeopathic or natural. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is for an anxiety problem that is not merely situational (i.e. fireworks, riding in a car, etc.) but pretty much all the time.

resue remedy. It was very popular with people who had the same problem. It would have to be reduced to their weight.

You mean that you want to waste your time and money giving him a treatment that doesn’t actually work?

I use a product called Rescue 5 available through my chiropractor for pets. My puppy has separation anxiety and claws at my door when I leave. He is 7# and I give him 5 drops on the tongue about 20-30 minutes before I leave.

I’m not very sure of what your dog can take. But what has worked for my dog is a Kong. If you’re not sure what they are it’s a industrial rubber that the dog can’t chew up or destroy and you can put a treat or peanut butter in it. It is a way to focus all that energy into something else and it does help reduce anxiety. I’m not sure if this would completely fix it. But it does help a lot. And you can also get these at any pet store.
