I’m not very sure of what your dog can take. But what has worked for my dog is a Kong. If you’re not sure what they are it’s a industrial rubber that the dog can’t chew up or destroy and you can put a treat or peanut butter in it. It is a way to focus all that energy into something else and it does help reduce anxiety. I’m not sure if this would completely fix it. But it does help a lot. And you can also get these at any pet store.

I use a product called Rescue 5 available through my chiropractor for pets. My puppy has separation anxiety and claws at my door when I leave. He is 7# and I give him 5 drops on the tongue about 20-30 minutes before I leave.
