I suffer with anxiety/depression how do you overcome it?
I would like to hear all your stories please
Thanks alot!
Get in good physical shape. Eat a diet with lots of fruits and veggies and exercise every day. Make sure to get plenty of protein too. I’ve also noticed quite a tremendous change when I stopped eating processed foods filled with man-made additives.
It’s a healthier approach and works far better than any Antidepressant. And, guess what, the only side effect you’ll get is a buff body.
That’s how I got off drugs and started living life.
Considering how lazy we’ve become, with little exercise and a horrible diet, it’s no wonder so many people are depressed. And then they fall into the arms of the medical industrial money racket.

see a doctor who specializes in these disorders, usually a few months of meds and psychotherapy and you should be good to go

Well - I guess 1. Anxiety/depression aren’t "normal" - they’re symptoms that something is wrong.
2. you have to find out what’s wrong - something usually in the past - something now "forgotten".
3. you have to weld the past and present back together by remembering the things which make you anxious or depressed and seeing how those specific things affect you right now.
At least that’s textbook. We all do this as much as we can anyway - but the thing which really finally makes it work is to have a good friend, councilor, psychologist you can work with and have a good, non-sexual, relationship with who can understand these things.
And finally you develop a sense of humor about these things and understand how they not only affect you but have affected everyone in their lives to some degree or another - you get to understand that you are not alone in this. Everybody else is really on board too.

i could never "get on" with antidepressants so my GP arranged counselling. I did a group anxiety management course for 2 hours a week for 6 weeks and a 2 hour one-on-one for as long as i needed it (around 3 months)
6 years on i still use my anxiety management techniques. Some days are hard but i have the tools now to manage my emotions. This worked for me BUT that does not mean this path suits everyone. Some days are, if not black any more, pretty dark grey but these get less and less as time goes on. And knowing im not medicated gives me the strength to battle on.
