Motivating things that will help me overcome depression?
I was recently diagnosed with depression and general anxiety disorder. I live with my boyfriend and lately our lives have turned boring because I feel so tired all the time and I have no motivation to wake up early and do anything. Is there any activities that I could do that could help me feel more motivated to get up from bed and have a good time? Any sngs that will cheer me up?? Thanks
xoxo
What works for me won’t work for you but I’ll tell you what I do. I have a TV in the bedroom and make a point to turn it on, sometimes I look at TV land and watch shows from back in the day or stupid trashy reality shows. I’m not saying that I spring out of bed but you’ll be surprised how it has helped me shortened my episodes many times or at least get me out of bed and a bit more motivated. Mope you can get some use out of this.

The best way to be motivated is to have a job. Even if it is a volunteer job at the local hospital delivering newspapers a couple of hours a week. You will have a reason to get out of bed everyday, you will feel better about yourself, and you may even meet some nice folks to socialize with.
